Maids of Steel fanzine

Supervisée par Wanja Ledowski. The brief was : make a fanzine about whatever subject you like, using only black+1 color ink. I chose to do it about female bodybuilding. I was really interested by the effect it has on people, between admiration, fear and disgust, and the inbetween gender status of these women. 

I wanted to put these athletes on a pedestal, by treating them like the queens of kitsch. The book is hand bound, sprayed and glittered, printed on shiny pink papers. The still life picture was taken in my garage with my parents' fitness equipment.
